Explore and understand harmony, form and the basics of improvisation. Collaborate with other musicians and develop the skills to play "tunes" with other musicians.

Duration: 2 months (8 weeks).
Frequency: 2 lessons per week.
Lesson Duration: 120 minutes.
Class Size: Groups of up to 8 people.
Ages: 18+
Skill Level: Intermediates to Advanced.
Target Audience: Suitable for aspiring musicians, as well as full-time musicians.
Entry Requirement: Audition is required to ensure participants have the necessary foundation.

Jazz Fundamentals:
1. Jazz standards and musical form: understanding core repertoire and structures.
2. Jazz harmonic language, including common progressions and voicings.
3. Improvisation through soloing, call-and-response, and guided exercises.
Rhythm Mastery:
1. Swing feel and score reading in jazz performance.
2. Developing precise timing across jazz contexts.
Ensemble Dynamics:
1. Dynamics & Interplay: Applying dynamics, tension, and release in ensemble settings.
2. Arrangement Skills: Voicing, orchestration, and practical arrangement for intros, outros, and solos.
3. Balance & Interaction: Defining instrumental roles, supporting soloists, and building ensemble cohesion.
